Lucy Flatt

Vicar, coffee drinker, cricket lover

Lucy loves Jesus.
She loves knowing Him and making him known.
Lucy is known for her enthusiasm, her frequent references to cricket, and her invitations for coffee.
Lucy has a deep drive for seeing lives transformed in the love of Jesus and people freed from the narrtives that hold them back from flourishing.
She loves the Bible, loves being a nerd, and loves her whānau and all who call this place home.

Lucy was appointed Vicar in July 2025 and is still adjusting to the Wellington wind and unique weather conditions.

Our Counsllor

Susanne

Counsellor
Kia ora, I’m Susanne. I am in my final year of study towards a Master’s in Counselling at Massey University. Previously, I have worked in the public sector and not-for-profits, primarily in health.

My prior counselling placement was at St Mary’s in Karori. I have supported people working through various kinds of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, health, neurodiversity, trauma, and relationships. I also love walking on Wellington’s many tracks, especially the Skyline, and seeing the city from so many different perspectives.

I will be available for counselling at St John’s on a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, from 20 July. A koha to the church is appreciated. Please reach out if you think I may be able to help. I look forward to serving the congregation and helping people find more self-awareness, peace and wellbeing.
